Resolution(s):<\/strong> These errors are due to an incomplete installation of the Anonymizer Universal application and\/or the Anonymizer Universal Updater. The steps below will remove Anonymizer Universal and the Anonymizer Universal Updater completely and will enable a fresh installation of Anonymizer Universal.<\/p>\n
To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below:<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
\n Step 1<\/h1>\n
If Anonymizer Universal is currently running, exit the application by right-clicking on the Anonymizer icon on the bottom right hand side of the screen (by the clock) and left-click \u201cExit.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
\n Step 2<\/h1>\n
Start by uninstalling the application from \u201cPrograms and Features\u201d (Windows 7\/ Vista) or \u201cAdd or Remove Programs\u201d (Windows XP):<\/p>\n

- Click on your Windows icon (Start Menu) then click \u201cControl Panel.\u201d<\/li>\n
- Click on \u201cPrograms and Features,\u201d then select \u201cUninstall a Program.\u201d<\/li>\n
- Once the list populates, select Anonymizer Universal and click the \u201cRemove\u201d or \u201cUninstall\u201d button.<\/li>\n
- The install wizard will appear. Ensure that \u201cRemove\u201d is selected.<\/li>\n
- Ensure the box is checked next to \u201cRemove saved user information\u201d and click \u201cNext\u201d twice.<\/li>\n
- Click \u201cFinish.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Please Note: If you are unable to remove Anonymizer Universal using this method, please proceed to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
\n Step 3<\/h1>\n
Start by uninstalling the application from \u201cPrograms and Features\u201d (Windows Vista and higher) or \u201cAdd or Remove Programs\u201d (Windows XP):<\/p>\n

- Click on Clean up Utility and download and run the \u201cAnonymizer Universal Windows Cleanup Utility.\u201d<\/li>\n
- When the \u201cAnonymizer Universal Cleanup Utility\u201d runs select \u201cContinue.\u201d<\/li>\n
- Select \u201cComplete Cleanup\u201d and click \u201cStart.\u201d<\/li>\n
- Click \u201cOK\u201d when the message is received regarding User Account Control (Windows Vista and higher).<\/li>\n
- Click \u201cYes\u201d when User Account Control prompts to allow access the registry (Windows Vista and higher).<\/li>\n
- Click \u201cDone.\u201d<\/li>\n
- Empty the Recycling Bin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n
\n Step 4<\/h1>\n
Restart your computer.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
\n Step 5<\/h1>\n
Once the computer has been restarted, install Anonymizer Universal again.<\/p>\n
Please Note: It is necessary to download a new copy of Anonymizer Universal after running the Cleanup Utility as it removes portions of previous downloaded copies.<\/p>\n
