Outlined below is the process to configure Norton Internet Security 2014 to exclude Anonymizer from its scans and add it to the Smart Firewall.<\/p>\n

(* The program should be allowed in the Smart Firewall by default)<\/p>\n

Step 1<\/h1>\n

Click Settings<\/strong> in the main program window.

Step 2<\/h1>\n

Under Computer<\/strong> in the \u201cAntivirus and SONAR Exclusions\u201d<\/strong> section click \u201cConfigure\u201d<\/strong> next to \u201cItems to Exclude from Scans.\u201d

Step 3<\/h1>\n

The scan exclusions window will appear. Click Add<\/strong>, and then Folders.

Step 4<\/h1>\n

Click the folder button in the add item window and then navigate to the location where Anonymizer Universal is installed on your computer and click Ok<\/strong> once you have selected it. It should normally be under \u201cC:Program FilesAnonymizer\u201d. Click Ok<\/strong> to add it to the scan exclusions and Ok<\/strong> again to close the exclusions window.

Step 5<\/h1>\n

Next, click \u201cConfigure\u201d<\/strong> next to \u201cItems to Exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR, and Download Intelligence Detection.\u201d

Once the real time exclusions window appears, repeat steps 3 and 4. The windows that appear will look similar to the ones from the previous steps with the only difference being the name.
