Our Task<\/b>
The e-Commerce Group* is an organization that incorporates a diverse and passionate community of individuals and small businesses. They approached us to supply a solution that would allow them to investigate a group of scammers who were contacting their customer base with misleading offers while \u201cphishing\u201d for customer information. e-Commerce\u2019s own investigators were having trouble accessing the scammer websites because their IP addresses were encountering blocked access.<\/p>\n

What We Architected<\/b>
By using Anonymizer Streetwise\u2019s core non-attribution capabilities and our proprietary IP rotating technology, we provided e-Commerce with a set of solutions that would allow them to \u201ccloak\u201d their own IP addresses to gain unfettered access to the scammer sites. Their true IP addresses were replaced with one\u2019s that were not traceable back to e-Commerce or Anonymizer, thus providing random, untraceable access.<\/p>\n

Success<\/b>
With unfettered access to the scammer websites, e-Commerce soon had all the information they needed to successfully help the authorities shut down the scammer websites. As a result, e-Commerce now integrates Anonymizer Streetwise capabilities into the training process for new investigators who need to search for fraudulent websites without being detected.<\/p>\n
