Resolution(s):<\/b> A missing or uninstalled Client for Microsoft Networks causes the Windows Error 1747. Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \n \/\/ Step 1<\/span><\/p>\nTo solve this error, you must set up a generic VPN connection. Begin by clicking on \u201cStart\u201d<\/b> in the lower left hand side of your computer, and then choose \u201cControl Panel\u201d<\/b> from the menu.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \/\/ Step 2<\/span><\/p>\nNext, click on \u201cNetwork Connections.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n <\/div>\n \/\/ Step 3<\/span><\/p>\nClick on \u201cFile\u201d<\/b> in the top left hand corner of the screen and select \u201cNew Connection\u201d<\/b> (or click \u201cCreate a New Connection\u201d<\/b> in the column on the left.)<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \/\/ Step 4<\/span><\/p>\nClick \u201cNext.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n <\/div>\n \/\/ Step 5<\/span><\/p>\nSelect \u201cConnect to the network at my workplace,\u201d<\/b> and then \u201cNext.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n <\/div>\n \/\/ Step 6<\/span><\/p>\nSelect \u201cVirtual Private Network connection,\u201d<\/b> and then \u201cNext.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n <\/div>\n \/\/ Step 7<\/span><\/p>\nIn the \u201cCompany Name\u201d<\/b> field, enter \u201cTest Connection,\u201d<\/b> and click \u201cNext.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n <\/div>\n \/\/ Step 8<\/span><\/p>\nIf you have the option to automatically dial, select \u201cDo not dial the initial connection,\u201d<\/b> and click \u201cNext.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n <\/div>\n \/\/ Step 9<\/span><\/p>\nFor the Host Name, enter \u201cabc123.com,\u201d<\/b> and click \u201cNext.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n <\/div>\n \/\/ Step 10<\/span><\/p>\nLeave the Connection Availability as it is, and click \u201cNext.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n <\/div>\n \/\/ Step 11<\/span><\/p>\nClick \u201cFinish.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Please Note: The connection may try to connect, and ask for your username and password as shown in the diagram below.
