Please contact support to upgrade to Anonymizer Universal.<\/h6>\n<h4>Welcome to Firewall Configurations &#8211; for Windows XP and Windows Vista Users<\/h4>\n<p>Our firewall sections are designed to help you configure your computer settings so that they will not interfere when you are using Anonymizer\u00ae software. Please make sure that you follow the directions for the operating system that you are using. The instructions below are only for Windows XP and Windows Vista users. If you are using <a href=\"as_zone-alarm.html\">Zone Alarm<\/a>, please follow the provided links for the correct configuration directions for that firewall.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Windows operating system is:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"tabs\">\n<li><a href=\"#xp\">Windows XP<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#vista\">Windows Vista<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"tab_content\" id=\"xp\">\n<div class=\"steps\">\n<h4>Configuring Firewalls in Windows XP<\/h4>\n<h5>Step 1<\/h5>\n<p>Click on the <strong>\u201cStart\u201d<\/strong> button in the lower left hand side of your computer. Click <strong>\u201cOK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/help\/anonymous_surfing\/v6.2\/xp-firewall13.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Step 14<\/h5>\n<p>Make sure that <strong>\u201cAnonProxy\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cAnonymizer\u201d<\/strong> are both added to the <strong>\u201cExceptions\u201d<\/strong> tab. When you have verified they are there, click <strong>\u201cOK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/help\/anonymous_surfing\/v6.2\/xp-firewall14.png\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"tab_content\" id=\"vista\">\n<div class=\"steps\">\n<h4>Configuring Firewalls in Windows Vista<\/h4>\n<h5>Step 1<\/h5>\n<p>Click on the Windows icon in the lower left hand side of your computer and then choose <strong>\u201cControl Panel\u201d<\/strong> from the menu.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/help\/anonymous_surfing\/v6.2\/w_firewall1.PNG\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Step 2<\/h5>\n<p>On the left hand side navigation, select <strong>\u201cClassic View\u201d<\/strong> (if not already selected) and then choose <strong>\u201cWindows Firewall<\/strong>.&#8221; You may have to scroll down the page to find this option.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/help\/anonymous_surfing\/v6.2\/w_firewall2.PNG\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Step 3<\/h5>\n<p>In <strong>\u201cWindows Firewall<\/strong>,&#8221; click <strong>\u201cChange settings<\/strong>.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/help\/anonymous_surfing\/v6.2\/w_firewall3.PNG\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Step 4<\/h5>\n<p>This will take you to your Windows Firewall Settings. Select the <strong>\u201cExceptions\u201d<\/strong> tab at the top and then choose <strong>\u201cAdd program\u201d<\/strong> at the bottom left side.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/help\/anonymous_surfing\/v6.2\/w_firewall4.PNG\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Step 5<\/h5>\n<p>Select <strong>\u201cAnonymizer\u201d<\/strong> from the list and then <strong>\u201cBrowse<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/help\/anonymous_surfing\/v6.2\/w_firewall5.PNG\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Step 6<\/h5>\n<p>You will be taken to a list of all of the Program Files that reside on your C: drive.
